| 要加快建成世界一流大学，必须加快建设世界一流的研究生教育。在我国研究生教育发展历史较晚、竞争实力相当悬殊的条件下，只有深刻认识一流研究生教育对于一流大学的重要意义，树立"自知自信、自立自强、自省自闯"的战略思维，并从目标定向、师资建设、苗子选拔、机制建构、现实导向和国际合作等方面采取"超常规"的改革行动，才能尽快建成一流的研究生教育，促进"中国特色、世界一流"大学的建设。 |

| To accelerate the construction of world-class universities, we must accelerate the construction of world-class postgraduate education. In the circumstances that China has a short postgraduate education history and a wide gap in terms of competitiveness, we must clearly understand how significant a first-class postgraduate education means to a first-class university. The author believes that only by holding high the strategic concept of "self-awareness, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-introspection and being creative", and by taking extraordinary reform actions for target orientation, faculty improvement, talented student selection, mechanism construction, realistic guidance and international cooperation can we reach the goal of making first-class postgraduate education as soon as possible and promote the construction of world-class universities with Chinese characteristics. |
