      在知识经济时代,扩大博士教育规模成为国家创新的重要战略,并上升到国家政策层面。我国博士教育起步晚、增速快,短期内规模迅速膨胀引发了对博士教育规模的争论,这一争论主要源于博士教育发展过程中几对矛盾处理的失范:在博士教育的元认知上,未能处理好传统学术价值和现代应用价值的关系;在博士教育规模扩张的动力上,未能处理好计划与市场的关系;在博士教育规模扩张的速度上,未能处理好渐进与突进的关系;在博士教育规模扩张的路径上,未能处理好一元与多元的关系;在博士教育规模扩张的质量保障上,未处理好固守与失守的关系。对我国博士教育规模之争进行再审视发现,社会经济发展水平决定了理想的博士教育规模,制度和体制安排决定了现实的博士教育规模,能否按照理想规模发展,以及按照何种价值取向、通过何种动力、凭借何种路径并以何种速度发展到理想规模,都依赖于现实的制度和体制安排。
英文摘要:
      Abstract: In the era of knowledge economy, the promotion of doctoral education has become an important strategy for national innovation and has risen to the national policy level.China's doctoral education started late, grew fast, and short-term rapid expansion of the size of the doctoral education led to the debate. This debate is mainly due to: it did not deal with the relationship between traditional academic value and modern application value in the metacognition of doctoral education, failed to deal with the relationship between planning and market in the driving force of the doctoral education scale expansion, failed to deal with the relationship between the gradual and the progressive in the speed of the expansion, failed to deal with the relationship between unity and diversification in the path of doctoral education expansion, and failed not keep the quality in the quality assurance. The re-examination of the scale of the dispute found that the level of socio-economic development determines the ideal doctoral education scale, system and institutional arrangements determine the reality of the doctoral education scale. Whether in accordance with the desired scale of development, depends on the reality of the system and institutional arrangements.
