      地方政府通过各类优惠政策吸引知名高校科研机构入驻已经成为区域经济发展的重要手段,因此,探讨高校科研机构研究生教育在区域经济增长过程中的重要性具有现实意义。以我国30个省份地区为样本,将时间趋势带入面板数据的非线性回归模型,定量分析研究生教育是否以及如何有效促进经济增长的问题。研究发现,研究生教育对经济增长既存在直接促进作用,也存在通过技术创新促进经济增长的间接效应。在控制了劳动力、资本和城镇化等因素后,上述实证结果依然稳健。此外,通过测算研究生教育对区域经济增长的贡献率发现,其对经济增长的作用呈现东部、中部、西部地区依次递减的明显区域特征。
英文摘要:
      It has become an important means for local governments to attract well-known university and research institutions to settle in for local economic development through various preferential policies. Therefore, there is practical significance to discuss the importance of postgraduate education of higher learning and scientific research institutions in the process of regional economic growth. Based on the samples from 30 provincial-level regions in China, this paper brings the time trend into the non-linear regression model of panel data to analyze quantitatively whether and how postgraduate education can effectively promote local economic growth. The results show that the postgraduate education not only has direct positive effect on economic growth, but also has indirect positive effect on economic growth by technological innovation. After deducting the factors such as labor force, capital, and urbanization, the above empirical results remain steady. In addition, the estimation of the contribution rate of postgraduate education to regional economic growth shows a phenomenon that the effect of postgraduate education on the economic growth in the eastern, central, and western regions decreases obviously in descending order.
