我国博士教育规模的迅速膨胀引发了学术界的争论,这一争论主要源于博士教育发展过程中几对矛盾处理的失范:在博士教育的元认知上,未能处理好传统学术价值和现代应用价值的关系;在博士教育规模扩张的动力上,未能处理好计划与市场的关系;在博士教育规模扩张的速度上,未能处理好渐进与突进的关系;在博士教育规模扩张的路径上,未能处理好一元与多元的关系;在博士教育规模扩张后的质量保障上,未能处理好固守与失守的关系。仔细审视博士教育规模之争可以发现,社会经济发展水平决定了理想的博士教育规模,而能否按照理想规模发展,以及按照何种价值取向、通过何种动力、凭借何种路径并以何种速度发展到理想规模,却都依赖于现实的制度和体制安排。 |

The fast expansion of the doctoral education in China has triggered controversy in the academic circle and the focus is mainly on the improper handling of the relations in the development of the doctoral education, namely, the relation between traditional academic value and modern application value in the metacognition; the relation between planning and market demand in the imputes for the scale expansion; the relation between gradual advancement and abrupt advancement in the expansion speed; the relation between unified direction and multi-direction in the expansion path, and the relation between maintaining and losing in the guarantee of doctoral education quality. The author believes that a review of the controversy on the scale of doctoral education may unveil that it is the social economic development level that decides the doctoral education scale. Whether it can develop according to ideal, or at what value orientation, with what impetus, on what path or at what kind of speed it can develop, all depend on the present institutional system and arrangement. |
