| 天文学是探索天体起源与演化、高度依赖观测设施的基础前沿学科,是孕育重大原创发现、推动科技自主创新的战略制高点。基于道德力量、科技知识、物质条件、人的发展在人类运用工具进行劳动中的作用原理,秉持"以观天利器,育寰宇英才"教育理念,中国科大探索出以"秉器怀德""知器增慧""利器善事""驭器致用"四位一体培养路径,为新时代天文学科技领军人才自主培养提供了可行方案。实践表明,自主培养天文学领军人才,要基于"观天利器",以"秉器怀德"为价值引领,将科学家精神及行动融入天文学思政教育;以"知器增慧"为求知导向,将基础前沿交叉知识融入天文学课程教学;以"利器善事"为能力基底,将校所平台设施任务融入天文学人才培养;以"驭器致用"为育人旨归,将重要贡献与人的发展融入天文学人才评价,从而加快培养出一批矢志服务科技自主创新的"寰宇英才"。 |

| Astronomy is a fundamental and frontier discipline highly dependent on observational facilities and instruments and dedicated to exploring the origins and evolution of celestial bodies, and it is also a strategic high ground for nurturing major original discoveries and promoting independent sci-tech innovations. Based on the principles governing the roles of moral force, sci-tech knowledge, material conditions, and individual development at the workplaces of people who use tools, and adhering to the educational philosophy of cultivating world-class talent with universe-observing instruments, the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) has pioneered a feasible four-in-one solution for independent cultivation of leading astronomy professionals in the new era, featuring "cherishing the instruments with moral integrity", "enhancing capacity through comprehending the instruments", "accomplishing endeavors with utilization of the instruments", and "mastering the instruments for practical application". Practice has manifested that to independently cultivate astronomy talent, we should, in addition to making good use of cosmic instruments, take "cherishing the instruments with moral integrity" as the value orientation, integrating the spirit and practice of scientists into ideological and political education in astronomy; take "enhancing capacity through understanding the instruments" as the knowledge-seeking guidance, integrating foundational, frontier, and interdisciplinary knowledge into astronomical course teaching; take "accomplishing endeavors with the utilization of the instruments" as the capability foundation, integrating university and institutional platforms, facilities, and missions into astronomy talent development; and take "mastering the instruments for practical application" as the educational aim, integrating significant contributions and individual development into astronomy talent evaluation, so that, we can accelerate the cultivation of a cohort of world-class talent in astronomy who are committed to advancing independent sci-tech innovation. |
